Topdrill employees Gary Bolton and Brian Dowdle were recognised for their exemplary management and leadership skills at the 2022 Goldfields Business Awards.
Operations manager Gary received the Mining and Mining Services award and general manager of operations Brian took out the Executive Professional award.
Topdrill owner Tim Topham said the top-level service provided by the business is in part due to its leaders, such as Gary and Brian, who ensure the operation runs smoothly.
Gary was nominated by Tim for the award. Tim said the nomination was due to Gary’s dedication and leadership to his team, working with them to problem-solve and maintain Topdrill’s standard of excellence.

Gary said he was proud of his achievements and grateful for the recognition.
Brian was also nominated by Tim. Tim said with his natural leadership and excellent interpersonal skills, Brian can multitask numerous situations and ensure a first-rate level of drilling service is sustained over multiple drilling sites across Western Australia.
“Brian has helped implement digital transformation across all of our sites, while ensuring a high level of safe performance and engagement from our teams and clients alike,” he said.
Brian said he was proud and happy to be recognised by the company and honoured by the KBCCI for such a win.
